Don’t pack away the BBQ and beach towels just yet. Met Eireann’s long-range weather maps have revealed another spell of heat is set to hit Ireland in early June.
So, if you’ve been gazing longingly out the window, hoping for early May’s sunshine to return, your wish could be granted sooner than we thought.

After weeks of scorching sunshine and hot temperatures, Ireland’s weather appears to have taken a turn – as it tends to do.
However, all is not lost as Met Eireann has confirmed the date that Ireland’s heatwave is set to return. And you’ll be glad to hear it isn’t that far away.
The latest data reveals that temperatures will begin to climb from the second week of June, with potential highs of 25 C (77 F) on Tuesday, 10 June.
So, whether you’re heading off an a hike or want to check our Ireland’s best beaches, this is the perfect time to do it.
A wave of high pressure – expect more sun and high temperatures
Sun seekers of Ireland rejoice, as your 2025 beach days aren’t lost just yet.
Met Eireann has revealed that Ireland’s heatwave will return next week. High pressure is set to build from Monday, 9 June, bringing “more settled and warmer conditions”.
What’s more, the national forecaster revealed that the good weather is set to last until at least 22 June. Thus, giving us a couple of weeks to make the most of the sunshine.
They said, “They said: ‘Monday, 9 June, to Sunday, 15 June, is showing a signal for higher pressure over Ireland.
“This will bring more settled and warmer conditions with temperatures increasing slightly above-average across the country. It will be drier also with rainfall amounts below-average nationwide.”
