Earlier this month, Ireland’s newest inflatable water park opened in County Clare. Situated on the East Clare shoreline of Lough Derg, Ireland’s third-largest lake, the park has been a massive hit since it opened.

West Lake Aqua Park has made a splash with its four inflatable islands that are fun for all the family.

Located off the Blue Flag beach of Ballycuggeran, Ogonnelloe, Killaloe, the waters here make it the perfect place to let off some steam.

Test your nerves as you make your way across balance beams before climbing your way over obstacles. Then scale your way up one of the daunting towers before gliding into the waters below by jumping in or sliding down.

One of the most impressive aspects of Ireland’s newest inflatable water park is Sky Rocket Island, home to the giant swing. Feel like a bird as you swing above the waters of Lough Derg before launching yourself into the inviting waters below.

It is currently open for seven sessions a day, seven days a week until the end of August and then opens the subsequent weekends in September.
