The building itself was built back in 1924, in the wake of the Irish War of Independence and Civil War and in the aftermath of the destruction caused by the 1916 Easter Rising.

Fitzpatrick’s Casino in Limerick is one of the largest casino groups across Ireland, with six separate casinos across both Dublin and Limerick. These include Tallaght, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin North, Dublin South, Limerick, and Limerick City.
This is one of the most historical casinos in Ireland as it has been around for over 30 years. Fitzpatrick’s has some of the most popular slots from around the world.

The Fitzwilliam Casino and Card Club enjoyed a 16-year stint in operation before closing its doors three years ago in 2019, making it one of the most historical casinos in Ireland.
Despite lasting for over 15 years, its subsequent closure is perhaps a prescient sign of the future and the shift towards the online casino scenery instead of the in-person casino that once existed here.
The business closed in the wake of the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019. Like others, you had to prove you were 18 before access was gained. It was also a popular venue for poker tournaments.

The Sporting Emporium is also one of the most historical casinos in Ireland as it opened its doors back in 2005 and is still operating today. It describes itself as “Ireland’s leading luxury Casino” and is backed by Dermot Desmond.
The casino offers services to beginners or pros, or those who just want a night out in Dublin to enjoy. Again, and as always, you must be 18 or over before you can gain access and play in this casino.
