Lana Del Rey has just announced a major Dublin gig for this summer in less than two weeks’ time.
After headlining Glastonbury over the weekend, Lana Del Rey has announced a surprise last-minute show in Dublin’s 3Arena on 7 July.
In a surprise announcement, she revealed two additional dates to her European tour alongside the show in Dublin – Paris and Amsterdam.
Tickets for the 3Arena gig will be on general sale this Friday, 30 June, at 9 am on Ticketmaster. They are priced from €69.70 ($88.68). Presale registration is available from tomorrow, 28 June, from 9 am.
Headlining Glastonbury – her set was cut short
The American singer recently headlined Glastonbury, which saw emotional scenes like Elton John’s last-ever UK gig as well as Lewis Capaldi’s moving last performance while he takes a well-deserved break from touring for the foreseeable future.
After arriving 30 minutes late to her set on Saturday night, Lana Del Rey’s slot at Glastonbury was cut short.
She said, “I’m so fucking late they may cut my set…I’m sorry, my hair takes so long. If they cut the power, let’s keep going”.
Just an hour into her performance on the Other Stage, her microphone was turned off as boos rang around the crowd.
As a result, she stepped away from the mic and urged fans to sing ‘Video Games’ with her without music and without her microphone.
In a bid to make it up to her fans, she stepped off the stage to greet festivalgoers and sign autographs for fans in the front row.

In a recent statement, Lana Del Rey said, “I love Europe and after playing Glastonbury, have decided to play a few more shows in various countries around my Hyde Park Show in London on July 9th.
“Today I am announcing shows in Amsterdam on July 4th, Dublin on July 7th and Paris on July 10th. I look forward to seeing you all”.
Tickets start at €69.70 ($88.68). They will go on general sale in just three days’ time, Friday 30 June at 9 am. The gig itself will take place in just 10 days, on 7 July at the 3Arena.
If Lana is trying to make up for any disappointment met by fans at Glastonbury over the weekend, she’s certainly on the right track!
Lana Del Rey – a household name
Lana Del Rey, who was born and raised in New York, found her real breakthrough in the industry in 2011 with the international success of her single ‘Video Games’.
She then went on to receive massive critical success with her debut album ‘Born to Die’ in 2012. This would be her first of six number-one albums in the UK.
In 2013, she released ‘Young and Beautiful’ for the romantic drama movie The Great Gatsby. The song received Grammy Award and Critic’s Choice Award nominations.
