As we all know, June is pride month, and throughout the month, there have been plenty of exciting events to celebrate equality, inclusivity and unity. Pride Week, which runs from 20 to 25 June, features a variety of fun events.
From the vibrant markets on Moore Street and Tonie Walshe’s Queer History Tour to Forest Bathing in Phoenix Park and, of course, the much-anticipated Dublin Pride Parade, which everyone is gearing up for, there is something for everyone.

Dublin Pride 2023 – a community-driven festival
The Dublin Pride Festival runs from 20 – 25 June, but as we know, the entire month of June is considered pride month, allowing everyone to celebrate with a calendar full of events and activities.
The motto of the festival is and has always been ‘Protest. Remember. Celebrate’, deeply rooted in this important event, aims to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and equality.
This community-driven festival encourages those with unique event ideas to participate at no charge. This allows the entire nation to participate in one of Dublin’s most inspiring festivals.
Apart from a host of special, diverse and inclusive events, the Dublin Pride Parade is one you cannot miss.
The 40th Anniversary Pride Parade takes place on 24 June in Dublin City Centre. Attendees are urged to join in on the march and celebrate the hard-fought achievements of the LGBTQ+ community.
Everything you need to know about the Dublin Pride Parade – the main event
The main event takes place on 24 June. It will be a day to remember, with a dedicated Pride Village featuring community speeches, performances and DJs to kick it all off.
The vibrant Dublin Pride Parade will take place at noon, followed by plenty of exciting evening events throughout the city.
The parade will commence at O’Connell Street and make its way to Merrion Square. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies are encouraged to show up and get involved.
Show your pride this year – Pride 2023 is the place to be
Attendees are reminded that this is a march and a parade. Protests will always be at the heart of pride. So, show up with banners, colourful clothing and a tremendous sense of… pride!
To add to the event’s inclusivity, there will be a wheelchair-friendly viewing area at the parade, wheelchair-friendly portable toilets, accessibility buses available and a dedicated ISL team to interpret speeches and performances on the main stage so that no one will be left out.
