7. Gifted: The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair – pick up unique Christmas gifts

This year’s magical display will take you and your family on a trip around the world with lighted displays of some of the world’s most iconic monuments.

You may even go on an extraterrestrial trip too. It is one of the top unmissable events in Dublin this December.

The hilarious Dreamgun Film Reads are back with a hilarious reworked script for us to enjoy.

The concept is simple: writers take an iconic film script (Home Alone), rewrite it, add lots of jokes, and then give it to a group of actors to read for the first time in front of a live audience.

It always makes for a gas night infused with the perfect amount of chaos.

3. The Mary Wallopers – a night of folk music with the lads

Our favourite folk trio, The Mary Wallopers, come to Vicar Street this December for some nights of music.

The group hail from Dundalk, and if you’ve been lucky enough to catch them before, you’ll know their gigs are always a brilliant night out. This is one not to be missed.

2. Skyline at Dusk – see Dublin from a new perspective

You need to experience a Skyline Tour.

Put on your most comfortable shoes and grab your camera; the Croke Park skyline tours are a great way to view the city Christmas lights from a new angle.

The tour brings you up 144 ft (44 m) to view Dublin as the sun is setting. Tour guides will bring you to five viewing spots while regaling you with tales of Dublin.

Christmas just isn’t Christmas without a trip to a pantomime. This year’s Gaiety panto is The Little Mermaid.

Expect singing, expect dancing, and you can be sure to expect a LOT of laughing while you’re at it. This is definitely one of the top unmissable events in Dublin this December.
