8. Villagers
Taking place in Róisín Dubh (one of Galway’s leading music and comedy venues) this December is Villagers. With a new album entitled The Art of Pretending to Swim under their belt, this is certainly going to be a highlight of the month. The Irish indie folk-rock band have been climbing their way to international success since their inception in 2008.

7. Hermitage Green

This Irish country-folk legend has got to be the ultimate must-see gig this December in all of Ireland. Playing a marathon of shows across the country to promote his newest album, there are tonnes of opportunities to see him play well into the new year, but his December dates at Dublin’s Vicar Street sold out in a matter of moments.
