The Blue Flag awards were recently released for 2025, with an impressive 89 beaches across the island mentioned.

Ballinskelligs, Ballybunion North, Ballybunion South, and Ballyheigue all received recognition. Derrynane, Banna Strand, Fenit, and Ventry, were mentioned.
Unsurprisingly, Inch Beach, which is often considered Ireland’s most beautiful beach, also received a Blue Flag Award. Kells, Maharabeg, Rossbeigh and White Strand, Cahersiveen were the remaining beaches to receive Blue Flag awards this year.
Two marinas, Fenit Harbor, and the Kinsale Yacht Club Marina, also received the Blue Flag recognition.
