Thus, catering and hospitality experts Alliance Online Ireland have revealed the best Irish towns and cities for vegans.

To do so, they considered various factors, including the number of vegan restaurants in each location, the number of vegan restaurants per person, the top-rated vegan restaurants, and the most affordable vegan restaurants.

Topping the polls is, unsurprisingly, Dublin. Ireland’s capital was the overall winner when it comes to best Irish towns and cities for vegans

The city boasts the biggest number of vegan-friendly restaurants, with an impressive 157 vegan-friendly restaurants and ten fully vegan restaurants, according to Happy Cow data.

Dublin also came out on top for the number of top-rated vegan restaurants. According to Happy Cow, an impressive 68 of the 157 vegan-friendly restaurants in Dublin received a rating of four stars and above.

At the same time, a whopping nine of the ten fully-vegan restaurants in Dublin were rated over four out of five stars!

However, the city fell behind when it came to affordability and the number of vegan restaurants per person. With by far the largest population in Ireland and a reputation for high prices, this comes as no surprise.

Still, Alliance Online Ireland found that Dublin came in second place for cheapest places for vegans in Ireland. Thus, proving that pursuing a plant-based lifestyle in the capital can be an affordable option.

The top city for an affordable vegan meal in Ireland is Cork. Offering the lowest average price for fully vegan restaurants and the joint lowest with Limerick for vegan-friendly restaurants, Ireland’s culinary capital is the perfect place for plant-based dining on a budget.

Among the other towns and cities mentioned is Galway, which boasts the highest number of vegan restaurants per person.

Other towns and cities that Alliance Online Ireland recognised as being vegan-friendly included Limerick and Waterford. They also mentioned Swords, Dundalk, Drogheda, Bray, and Navan.
