Fans all over the world love T Swift, and Irish fans are no different. As such, the anticipation for her musical return to the island is highly anticipated, especially since she last performed here more than six years ago.
The list of Taylor Swift’s Irish gigs isn’t a long one, but she does have several other fascinating links to Ireland. Let’s take a look.
Taylor Swift’s links to Ireland – songs, holidays, ex-boyfriends, and more

Before we delve into the history of Taylor Swift’s Irish gigs, let’s take a look at her links to Ireland across the years, of which she has a few. Some are more random than others.
For example, her song ‘The Last Time’ features the vocals of Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody. Furthermore, she spent a lot of time in Belfast and other parts of the country while visiting her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn as he filmed Conversations with Friends.
As a result, she was spotted numerous times in local pubs and popular tourist destinations around the country.
One such place was Ballymastoker Strand in Portsalon, Donegal. Hawk-eyed fans recognised this iconic beach immediately when she posted a photograph on Instagram to celebrate the anniversary of her acclaimed lockdown album Folklore.
Her time spent in Ireland during this time inspired her song ‘Sweet Nothing’ on her 2022 album Midnights. In particular, fans were delighted to hear references to County Wicklow.
She sings, “I spy with my little tired eye, tiny as a firefly, a pebble that we picked up last July / Down deep inside your pocket, we almost forgot it / Does it ever miss Wicklow sometimes?”
So, as Irish fans eagerly anticipate her musical return to the Emerald Isle, which will be the first in six years, let’s take a look at Taylor Swift’s Irish gigs, from her most recent to her first Irish gig.
