Taylor Swift has announced that she will play two concerts in Dublin in 2024 as part of her Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift has been travelling around the United States since March for her sixth headlining concert tour, the Eras Tour.
The tour is described as a tribute to Swift’s studio albums so far, which includes her latest 2022 album, ‘Midnights’.
The tour began on 17 March 2023 in Arizona and has been touring the States since. Now, Taylor Swift has announced international tour dates, and two Irish dates are among them.
Taylor Swift announces Irish tour dates – Dublin 2024
In a recent social media post yesterday, 21 June, Taylor Swift revealed her international tour dates and two Irish dates are among them.
She tweeted a tour poster saying, “EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.
“I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!” Swift will be performing at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on 28 and 29 June 2024.
She will be joined by special guest Sabrina Carpenter, an American actress and singer who is currently on her own world tour.
The tour – what to expect on the Eras Tour
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert lasts for over three hours and comprises a set list of 44 songs divided into ten acts. These acts rely on worldbuilding or creating a fictional universe.
For the US leg of the tour, ticket sales were met with unprecedented demand. 3.5 million people registered for presale tickets, and despite Ticketmaster’s website crashing immediately upon release, over 2.4 million tickets were sold that day for the tour.
This instantly broke the record for most concert tickets sold in a single day by an artist. Songs played on the Eras Tour include classics like ‘Love Story’, ‘Lovers’, ‘Anti-Hero’, and ‘Shake It Off’, to name a few.
The international leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour – the worldwide leg
From August to November 2023, Taylor Swift will be performing in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
She will then have a couple of months before heading to Tokyo for four dates in February 2024, five dates in Australia, Singapore, Paris, Stockholm, Lisbon, Madrid, and Lyon before starting the UK and Ireland leg.
Before coming to Dublin, she will start this leg of the tour with two dates in Edinburgh in June 2024. She will then perform in Liverpool, Cardiff, and London as the final stop before Ireland.
After more dates in European cities like Amsterdam, Zurich, and Munich, the tour will come to a close back in London on 17 August 2024.
