Ryanair is well aware that the festive season is a popular time to travel, with family members reuniting and exciting weekend trips to European Christmas markets to those memorable winter sun getaways.

For 38 years, Ryanair has made these experiences and reunions possible, and with their recent announcement, this tradition will be even bigger and better.

The popular budget airline has announced adding 1.6 million extra seats to over 660 routes for the festive season.

Head of Communications, Jade Kirwan, said, “As Europe’s No.1 airline for low fares and reliability, we are delighted to see that customers are booking Ryanair in the confidence that we are best placed to get them home to their loved ones safely, on time and at fares that won’t break the Secret Santa budget, as we have been doing for the past 38 years now”.

And, of course, with this exciting announcement comes great deals.

Ryanair is regarded for its promotions and ‘seat sales’, which many of us have taken advantage of over the years, allowing us to explore various destinations at the drop of a hat without breaking the bank.

To celebrate the launch of its 1.6 million seat allocations, the airline is doing what they do best and offering seats for as little as €29.99.

The catch? Passengers must travel between 15 December and 8 January, so if this fits your festive schedule, you could be jetting off somewhere inspiring without burning a hole in your pocket.

Jade Kirwan added, “Ryanair is delighted to announce an early Christmas present for our customers with the addition of 1.6 million seats for 23rd December and 24th January in response to strong Christmas demand”.

Parking and taxi wait times – what you need to know

Parking and taxi wait times.

The announcement comes just after Dublin Airport warned passengers due to fly out this month to book their parking as soon as possible.

Stating that the demand for parking will be very high during September, Ryanair officials have urged people to plan alternative routes to the airport if parking is unavailable.

There is good news regarding waiting times, with the average waiting time for a taxi dropping to just 5 minutes, which is a 50% decrease compared to last year.

As we gear up for the festive season, there is no better time to secure your winter ski holiday, a reunion with friends or family or a memorable trip to Europe’s best Christmas markets. So, what are you waiting for?
