The research was conducted using passenger reviews and social media posts. Through the analysis, it was discovered that Dublin Airport provides the most stressful experience, only second to London Heathrow Airport.

The research took into account sentiment scores, delays for baggage and security, and WIFI ratings.

Recently, Dublin Airport has come under harsh criticism as people were experiencing longer than usual delays and disruptions, however, Dublin was still named one of the best cities to visit in 2022.

This comes as many people took to social media to express annoyance at long queues, delays, and missed flights.

The research into the most stressful airports in Europe took into account sentiment scores, delays for baggage and security queues, and WiFi ratings.

Stress score – customer satisfaction

The stress level was found to be 114.9.

Through the research conducted, Dublin Airport received a total stress score of 114.9 and a delay rate of 94.8%.

Sentiment analysis, which relays the perception of passengers on airport service attributes, places the airport on -221.

The airport’s lowest rating was related to customer satisfaction reviews for its lounges. In this rating, Dublin Airport received 64%

The highest score was in relation to getting to the airport and checking in, both receiving a score of 81%.

In comparison to Dublin Airport’s score of 114.9, first on the stress list, London Heathrow, received a score of 145.5. It received a sentiment social media score of -263, compared to Dublin Airport’s -221.

Manchester Airport ranked just slightly behind Dublin in third place with a score of 113.6. Rounding out the top five are Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport and Frankfurt am Main International Airport.

To discover the overall stress score of airports in Europe, the annual number of passengers, delays, social media opinions and passenger reviews were all taken into consideration.

With this analysis, it is no surprise that research finds Dublin Airport second most stressful airport in Europe.
