Northern Irish hotel named ‘most eccentric’ in U.K. – a fitting description
Owner Bernie spoke to Belfast Live about receiving the award.
She said, “I wasn’t sure what to make of it initially whenever they said the award was for ‘eccentric hotel’. But I think it’s more that they’re saying our establishment is a bit different, a bit out of the norm.
“And, I suppose, with the Titanic menu that we do and the different themed rooms, it makes sense – we’re a bit out of the box.”
Despite her initial scepticism, Bernie later revealed she was delighted about receiving the prestigious award.
The perfect luxury break – plenty to see and do
Overlooking Belfast Lough, Rayanne House is in the perfect location for a relaxing break. Holywood town is home to lots of local cafes, shops, and seaside walks, making for an idyllic location to staycation.
Offering unique and well-thought-through menus, including their famous nine-course Titanic menu, Rayanne House boasts an impressive five-stars.
Bernie explained the thought behind the famous Titanic menu. She said, “We have replica china for the meal. Then boarding passes with the menu on the other side of it and flowers that would’ve been on the Titanic.
“The house itself was in situ in 1912, and we’ve got a painting of Rayanne House. In the foreground is the Titanic, so it all lends itself to a very memorable dining experience.”
