The new five-star hotel is set to open on Ireland’s north coast in 2023, adding to the already thriving tourism industry of the Causeway Coast.

The Dunluce Lodge will be a new-build hotel with 35 bedrooms and a luxury spa. Overlooking the fourth fairway of the Royal Portrush Golf Club and offering views of Portrush town and the Donegal headlands, guests can make the most of the hotel’s scenic location.

Inverness-based architects Maxwell and Company, who specialise in designing luxury resorts, castles, and hotels, will design the beautiful new hotel. It will be managed by Valor Hospitality Partners.

Portrush is a popular holiday destination for those travelling from all over Ireland and further afield. Thus, the exciting new Dunluce Lodge will provide luxury accommodation for those visiting one of the most scenic areas of Northern Ireland.

The nine-acre development will be the first of its kind in the north coast region of Northern Ireland. There are currently no other five-star hotels within a 96 km (60 miles) radius of the proposed location.

Tourism in the area continues to increase each year. So, Tourism NI and Causeway Coast and Glens Council gladly welcome the exciting new investment.

In the past, Portrush and the wider Causeway Coast area would have been largely a hidden gem for locals.

However, Game of Thrones projected the north coast to television screens globally. Thus, more and more people worldwide are planning to visit this scenic area of Ireland.

The new five-star hotel, which is set to open on Ireland’s north coast in 2023, will cater for a number of these tourists.

The site was originally home to a privately owned house. The project designers behind the Dunluce Lodge hotel plan to replicate this original design.

Brian McCarthy is the managing director of UK and Europe at Valor Hospitality. He said, “We’re very excited about our plans for The Dunluce Lodge; not only for what it means for Valor’s growth but also the opportunities it will bring to The Royal Portrush Golf Club and the local area.

“With its five-star status, this resort will attract visitors from all over. With our experience in managing luxury resorts around the globe, including golf projects in South Africa and the US, we are more than ready to apply our expertise to our first development in Northern Ireland.”
