Set to open its doors in early 2025, Ireland’s largest cinema group, Omniplex, announced plans for a brand new five-screen cinema in Rathfarnham.

A brand new €3 million cinema is set to open in the Dublin suburb of Rathfarnham early next year.
The new five-screen cinema, which will be located inside the Nutgrove Shopping Centre, is set to offer an “elevated” cinema experience.
With a beer and wine lounge for visitors to relax, the new €3 million cinema promises much more than your regular movie theatre experience.
Catch a movie and a cocktail – a cinema experience like none other

The new €3 million cinema, which will open in the Dublin suburb of Rathfarnham in 2025, is unlike any other Omniplex we’ve seen before.
According to the company’s press release, Omniplex Nutgrove will offer “an elevated cinema experience,” making it one of the most major developments coming to the Dublin suburb next year.
They explained, “Each auditorium features 50 ‘Pullman’ style sofas complete with footrests, state-of-the-art Barco Laser Projection, Dolby Audio sound, and freshly popped popcorn.”
Rathfarnham’s first cinema in 70 years – bringing movies back to the area

The new €3 million cinema, which will open in the Dublin suburb next year, will be the first movie house in Rathfarnham since the closure of The Landscape Cinema in 1955.
There’s even a beer and wine lounge where over 18 guests can enjoy special adults-only cocktails. So, Omniplex Nutgrove is sure to be a popular spot for movie lovers.
Director of Omniplex Cinema Group Mark Anderson said, “It is hard to believe that, by the time Omniplex Nutgrove opens, Rathfarnham will have been without a local cinema for 70 years, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it back.
“We look forward to serving the people of Rathfarnham for a long time into the future.”
