The Avenue, Belfast’s brand-new cinema, will open to the public in the city centre’s CastleCourt this week, 10 March.

Described as “a venue that redefines the conventional cinema experience”, The Avenue boasts nine “luxurious auditoriums, designed to deliver an impeccable in-cinema dining experience”.
The Avenue isn’t your average cinema; rather, it’s designed and decorated in an old art-deco style for a more comfortable and stylish cinema experience.
The history – not your average cinema experience

The latest addition to Belfast’s cinema scene sees a little bit of history brought back to life, as The Avenue “plays homage to the historic picture house of the same name” that once stood in the very same location.
The original cinema was the first spot in Northern Ireland to showcase the famous “talkies” movies that came to being with The Jazz Singer in 1927. The Avenue of this time originally opened back in 1929.
The Avenue Cinema brings something a little different to Belfast’s cinema landscape because not only can you sit back, relax and enjoy your film, but you can also order food and drinks that will be delivered right to your seat.
Somewhat of a lovechild of the QFT and the Omniplex combined, The Avenue is set to bring cinema-goers a modern and unique viewing experience.
The Avenue – the new kid on the block

The Avenue Cinema, Café & Bar brings cinema-goers something a little bit different. While you can, of course, enjoy your movie in a stylish and comfortable setting, you can also do so with a menu of dishes, and drinks delivered right to your seat.
Otherwise, you can enjoy your food and drinks in The Lounge before you head in to enjoy your movie of choice. Either way, drinks are flowing, and you certainly won’t go hungry at The Avenue.
The café menu changes seasonally, with savoury meals like freshly made pizzas and gourmet burgers on offer.
The fully licensed bar provides an “expertly crafted cocktail list” as well as a selection of speciality wines, beers, spirits, and soft drinks. Plus, they serve up a range of pastries and tray bakes, too.
A unique addition to Belfast – will you be trying it out?

The Avenue sees a little bit of Belfast’s past return once more in the shape of a modern and exciting new cinema experience.
The theatre has nine excellent screens to enjoy your movies, food, and drinks, and it seems set to be the perfect destination to start a night out with friends or for a romantic date.
Cinema tickets cost £14 for adults and £10 for kids. To find out more and to book your tickets for the latest hit films, head over to The Avenue website here.
