Adare Manor is the only Irish business to gain a spot on Condé Nast’s 2025 Gold List.

They chose their winners based on “beauty, comfort, or impeccable service.” Still, they also considered the “deeply emotional relationships” that editors have developed with them.

Adare Manor was named among various locations in the Europe and the UK category. But they also looked at the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean and Mexico, Central, and South America. Then, over to Asia and Africa and the Middle East.

This is not the first time the Limerick hotel has been named among the best in the world. In October, it was named the best resort in Europe as part of Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

Ranking it on their 2025 Gold List, they said, “Few country escapes can beat this 19th-century neo-Gothic castle in Ireland’s County Limerick.

“The 842-acre estate features stained-glass windows, gold-leaf ceilings, and towering fireplaces, all restored to their original glory.”

Painting a picture of a stay at Adare Manor, they continued, “Guests can lord it in horse-and-buggy rides, go on clay-shooting and archery sessions, or take padel tennis classes.

Otherwise, you can “eat Michelin-star suppers at the Oak Room and afterward descend to the Tack Room cellar-lounge to sample it’s rare Irish whiskey collection.”
