Irish Weather Forecast: July to bring more sunshine as temperatures to reach 21C in Ireland this week

After a glorious weekend of toasty temperatures and bright sunshine, the weather in Ireland is forecast to bring more blue skies this week.

People flocked to the coast in their droves this weekend while others celebrated Pride in the sunny Capital.

According to Irish Meteorological Services, Met Eireann, the Emerald Isle will continue to bask in a summer glow with temperatures averaging a pleasant 21 degrees Celsius from Monday.

Conditions are also set to stay dry for the early part of the week with any light showers clearing quickly.

First day of July

With many of us waiting patiently for summer holidays to begin, the first of July should be a welcome arrival.

And the weather forecast for the coming week will only make it more exciting.

Monday is set to start somewhat cloudy in parts of Ireland with scattered showers in the north and east of the country.

But the rain will clear quickly and be replaced with sunshine and highs of 20 degrees Celsius in the southeast.

Northwesterly breezes along the Atlantic coast will make Connacht and parts of Ulster feel cooler than average but will ease off throughout the day.

By Monday evening Ireland will be dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells sweeping across the country.

Highs of 11 degrees Celsius in the north will bring pleasant overnight conditions.

A westerly breeze will make Connacht feel almost chilly with temperatures dropping below double figures and remaining a fresh 9 degrees into the early parts of Tuesday morning.

More sunshine to come

Tuesday is predicted to bring a mixture of cloud and sunny spells to the Emerald Isle with no sign of any showers.

Southern counties will feel the most humid with Cork reaching highs of 19 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

The west, midlands and east will stay dry and sunny with temperatures staying at an average of 18 degrees Celsius throughout the day.

Ulster will be slightly cooler but also stay dry with intermittent sunny spells.

Temperatures will reach highs of 17 degrees Celsius but drop as low as 8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday night.

Hotting up!

Wednesday will bring another gorgeous day of clear skies and sunshine.

Counties in the west of Ireland will be making the most of the warm temperatures mid-week with highs of 20 degrees Celsius in Connacht.

Light breezes will be a pleasant accompaniment, making it perfect beach weather along the west coast.

Temperatures will also rise in the north of the country with Belfast reaching highs of 19 degrees Celsius on Wednesday afternoon.

Visitors to the sunny southeast might find it difficult to find a quiet beach this week as more sunshine is set to come.

While commuters in the Capital, may want to dress light and bring a bottle of water for their journey.

Overall the week is forecast to bring lots of sunshine, warm temperatures and very little rain to the Emerald Isle.
