With stores in major cities all around the world, Irish LEGO fans have been waiting a long time for the first-ever LEGO store to open in Ireland.

Ireland’s first LEGO store finally opened its doors to the public on Grafton Street in Dublin at 9 am this morning.
It was announced earlier this year that the popular toy brand would be making its debut in Ireland. Since then, LEGO fans have been eagerly awaiting the doors opening to the new store.
So, whether you’ve got a LEGO-loving kid or want to stock up on some early Christmas presents, the store will be the perfect place to find everything that suits your needs.
A busy opening morning ‒ an influx of visitors expected over the weekend

As Ireland’s first LEGO store opens in Dublin, staff are expected to see huge crowds over the next couple of days. So, they have put a number of restrictions and safety precautions in place.
For the next few days, everyone who enters the shop will be given a wristband permitting them to 30 minutes inside. This is to allow as many people as possible to visit the store without facing overcrowding.

A spokesperson for Ireland’s first LEGO store explained the system. They said, “All customers will require a wrist band with an allocated time to gain access to the LEGO Store Dublin.
“The wrist bands can be collected directly opposite the LEGO Store on Grafton Street each day of the opening weekend from 9 am.
“To ensure the safety of all customers, the LEGO Store Dublin will have 30-minute time allowances for customers to enjoy the brand-new location.”
What to see inside Ireland’s first LEGO store ‒ toy heaven and Irish influences

Anyone that has visited any LEGO store locations elsewhere in the world will know that it is like entering another world entirely made out of LEGO.
Whether you’re a collector of the iconic building toy, have kids who love to play with LEGO, or are just feeling nostalgic for your own childhood, visiting a LEGO store is a truly fantastic experience.
Ireland’s first LEGO store in Dublin is no exception. Spread over two floors, and covering an area of 4,360 sq ft (405 sq m), there is plenty to discover.

Fans can check out the iconic Harry Potter and Stars Wars displays, which have proven popular in other global stores. Or, if you want to experience something unique and closer to home, the store also features plenty of Irish influences.
Inside, you can check out the 3 ft (0.91 m) tall Camogie player. Or, take stroll by the Poolbeg Towers and marvel at the Aviva Stadium, all made entirely out of LEGO.
The icing on the cake for us, however, is the LEGO recreation of Dublin’s famous Ha’Penny Bridge. The iconic spot is even complete with two LEGO buskers.
