Ireland’s biggest ever indoor Christmas festival is coming to Dublin this festive season.

Ireland’s biggest ever indoor Christmas festival – food, crafts, and more
Mistletown, Ireland’s biggest ever indoor Christmas festival, is returning to Dublin’s historic Fruit and Veg Market this winter.
Dublin City Council is behind the event, which is free for the public. There will be various festive food stalls and a Christmas Craft Village, as well as live music and shows to keep guests entertained.
There will also be a vintage funfair, complete with a carousel dating back to the 1890s. The perfect day out for all the family.
Attracting people to the city – spreading festive cheer
As Ireland’s capital city, Dublin thrives during the festive season.
With Grafton Street home to every high street shop you could ever need, shoppers flock to the street to pick up Christmas presents for friends and family.
The press launch for Ireland’s biggest ever indoor Christmas festival was held this week.
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alison Gilliland, attended the event.
She said, “Mistletown and events like it give us an opportunity to breathe life back into the city centre, and in this case, it also brings back into temporary use Dublin’s iconic Fruit and Veg Market, which is fantastic.
“The market will have something to offer for people of all ages and tastes, and I look forward to seeing it come to life. It will no doubt enhance the Dublin experience over the month of December.”
Abiding by regulations – ensuring a fun and safe experience for all
With various restrictions still in place across Ireland, festival organisers have reassured those planning to visit that stringent safety measures will be in place.
Susie Melisson, Director at Artisan Events, who are working in collaboration with Dublin City Council, spoke to Dublin Live.
She said, “We have been working very hard behind the scenes over the past few months to ensure Mistletown can be run safely, with additional measures in place in line with the government guidelines.”
The event opens in December and will take place on various dates throughout the month. It is hoped that Ireland’s biggest ever indoor Christmas festival will provide a well-needed boost to local businesses.
The festival will take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December. Then, Wednesday 8, Friday 10, Saturday 11, and Sunday 12 December.
Moving into the following week, you can visit on Wednesday 15 until Saturday 18 December. Then, the final dates before Christmas are Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 December.
