Summer is finally here! Met Eireann confirms Dublin is set to enjoy scorching heat and glorious sunshine from the beginning of next week.
With summer officially here, many across Ireland have been wondering if we’re actually going to get to enjoy any good weather this year.
The past few weeks have been defined by grey skies and heavy rain, with outdoor plans cancelled and festival-goers having to don their best waterproof gear.
However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel; Met Eireann has confirmed Dublin is set to enjoy scorching heat and glorious sunshine from next week.

So far, Ireland’s festival season has proven to be a washout, with heavy rain and windy conditions taking hold throughout June.
The Irish capital is still set for a couple more days of unsettled weather. However, come next week, we’ll see a dramatic change in scenery; Dublin is set to enjoy scorching heat and glorious sunshine.
As we move into July, Met Eireann has forecast that temperatures will gradually rise thanks to a high-pressure buildup. The news of some long-overdue sunny weather will be music to the ears of many living in or visiting the city.

“The forecast shows it is remaining over Ireland for a good period. So, hopefully, it can stay in the forecast. Temperatures could also rise later next week and could exceed the mid-twenties!”
Keeping weather watchers updated, the page then posted a few days later with more news of good weather to come; “Temperatures are also expected to rise as warmer air is forecast to push over Ireland.
“Temperatures into the mid-twenties and possibly higher are forecast for the weekend but still plenty of time for this to change.”

A Met Eireann forecaster confirmed the news that Dublin is set to enjoy scorching heat and glorious sunshine next week.
They state that this weekend and early next week will see dry, sunny spells with scattered showers across the west of Ireland. According to the forecast, temperatures are set to rise to highs of 20 C (68 F) on Tuesday.
They explain that temperatures will gradually become warmer from Tuesday onwards as high pressure continues to build. Across Ireland, “it will stay generally dry through the middle of next week. Although there will be some showers at times.
“Daytime temperatures reach the high teens or low twenties.”
