So, whether you’re planning a family holiday or want to have a go at solo travelling, Ireland could be the perfect destination for you.
A safe and welcoming travel destination – perfect for all travellers

Travel and Tour World (TTW) named Ireland one of the safest destinations for 2025 after analysing key metrics like its ranking on the US Travel Advisory and its place on the Global Peace Index.
According to 2024 findings by the Global Peace Index, Ireland ranked in second place out of 163 countries. This index considers various factors, such as safety, political stability, and crime rates.
According to TTW, increasing concerns around global safety and a rising demand for stress-free travel means these countries have set the precedent for secure tourism.
A thriving tourism sector – appealing to global travellers

Known for its scenic beauty, unique culture and history, and cameos in series such as Game of Thrones, the Emerald Isle has gained a reputation as a bucket list destination.
Now that Ireland has been named one of the safest destinations to travel in 2025, this will surely add to the island’s appeal.
In its report, TTW praises Ireland for its “warm hospitality and commitment to visitor safety.”
They wrote, “Ireland is one of the safest travel destinations, thanks to its low crime rate, friendly locals, and strong law enforcement.
“Most travelers experience minimal risk of serious incidents, and even petty crime is relatively uncommon compared to other major tourist spots.
“With a strong sense of law and order, Ireland offers a safe and inviting atmosphere where visitors can explore historic castles, charming villages, and breathtaking coastal cliffs with ease.”
