Ireland among world’s top trending wedding destinations, report reveals

Pinterest data has revealed that a large majority of newlyweds are thinking of tying the knot on the Emerald Isle.

New research by Money.co.uk reveals that Ireland is among the world’s top trending wedding destinations, according to Pinterest data.

According to the report, Morocco comes in the top spot of the world’s trending wedding destinations. Meanwhile, Greece and France come in second and third respectively.

The data reveals that half of the top trending wedding destinations in the world are in Europe, with Ireland coming in seventh.

The report by Money.co.uk has revealed that Ireland is among the world’s top trending wedding destinations. And with its rolling countryside, dramatic coastline, and fairytale castles, we can’t exactly say we’re surprised.

The study used Pinterest data to find out which destinations are serving as the biggest inspiration to newlyweds.

By analysing which destinations are trending and looking at publicly viewable boards, the report reveals that Morocco has come out on top when it comes to romantic spots for the big day.

While Ireland is among the world’s top trending wedding destinations, it was Morocco that took the top spot and it’s not too hard to see why.

Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Morocco offers a stunning desert, balmy temperatures, and gorgeous riads.

Of the top 20 trending wedding destinations, half are in Europe, with Greece and France coming in second and third.

Furthermore, other European destinations that made the list are Italy in fourth and England in 12th. Next up is Ibiza in 13th, Scotland in 14th, Spain in 16th, and Portugal in 17th. Closing out the U.K. destinations was Wales in 20th.

Top U.S. wedding destinations – the Golden State

As well as revealing that Ireland is among the world’s top trending wedding destinations, Money.co.uk also looked at which destinations are most popular among newlyweds in the States.

Coming out on top is the ‘Golden State’ of California. The west coast state offers something for everyone. From the sparkling L.A. skyline to the light-coloured granite of Sierra Nevada and the sunny surf coast.

Following on, coming in second, third, and fourth position with 1,000 dedicated Pinterest boards each are Colorado, Florida, and Hawaii.
