The Hollywood actor has family connections in Ireland that he is keen to reconnect with before the end of summer 2022.

A spokesperson for the actor has revealed that George Clooney is planning an Irish holiday with his family this year.
The actor, who has cousins living in Ireland, previously visited the Emerald Isle to catch up with his family back in 2019.
According to reports, the actor planned to visit again in 2020. However, plans were put on hold due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Catching up with his Irish relatives ‒ exploring his family heritage

George Clooney is perhaps one of the most recognisable names in Hollywood, known for his roles in films such as Ocean’s Eleven and Batman and Robin.
Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Clooney is of Irish, German, and English ancestry. However, he has always felt a strong connection to his family back in Ireland.
The actor’s family hails from Abbeyleix in County Laois and Windgap in County Kilkenny, and many of his cousins still reside here.
So, George Clooney is planning an Irish holiday this year to reconnect with his Irish cousins for the first time in three years.
Not his first time in Ireland ‒ a delightful family holiday

According to BreakingNews.ie, George Clooney previously visited Ireland with his wife Amal, and their five-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, back in 2019.
The family spent the Easter holidays exploring the island. They even paid a visit to the actor’s ancestral home in Abbeyleix.
During the visit, the actor met up with his Irish cousins Seamus, Agnes, and Fiona Clooney. They arranged a catch-up at the stunning Ballyfin House in Dublin.
Now, according to the family’s spokesperson Andy Ring, George Clooney is planning an Irish holiday this year. He said he wants to “properly visit the areas his relatives came from and where his cousins still live.”

The Hollywood heartthrob is just the latest in a long line of celebrities to visit Ireland. Many have been spotted out and about the Emerald Isle over the past few years.
Icons such as Matt Damon, Taylor Swift, and Patrick Dempsey sent Irish fans into a frenzy when they posted pictures online of their time on the island.
After his last visit to Ireland, the actor has been keen to return, having planned a second trip in 2020. However, the onset of the pandemic meant his travel plans had to be cancelled.
Speaking on Spin 1038 in 2020, the actor explained, “I would be thrilled to be back in Ireland.
“We were there for Easter (2019), it was unusually warm and nice. It couldn’t have been more fun to be there. I met a bunch of relatives I never knew I had, which was also fun.
“My experience there was so memorable, and seeing family was so much fun. Being able to feel your real roots is a really cool thing.”
