Galway Airbnb named one of the WEIRDEST in the world – stay in your very own Irish castle

Cahercastle, built in the late 15th-century, still retains many of its original features, making it a unique and charming accommodation choice.
Located in the County Galway countryside, the castle is surrounded by three acres of garden. On the site, there are streams, rivers, trees, and neighbouring farm animals. Thus, a night in one of the weirdest Airbnbs in Ireland will be a stay you’ll never forget.
The castle lies just 30 minutes outside Galway City, meaning it is easily accessible from Ireland’s Capital of Culture.

Owner Peter Hayes bought the property in 1996 after it had been left unattended for over 200 years. Undergoing major restoration work, the top two floors of the castle are now available for rent. The property accommodates up to four guests.
The castle retains much of its Medieval Irish charm, including a spiral stone staircase. However, the property has been fitted with modern amenities, including underfloor heating and wifi.
