Iconic US fast food chain Wendy’s has announced their plans to open ten restaurants across Ireland from 2025.

A famous US fast food chain has announced plans to open ten restaurants in Ireland between 2025 and 2027.
Wendy’s, known for its succulent beef burgers and iconic Frosties, first opened in Colombus, Ohio, in 1969. The chain has since expanded across the states and internationally, with outlets in Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, and more.
Until now, however, the chain hasn’t made it across to the Emerald Isle – but that’s all about to change as Wendy’s announced plans to open ten outlets in Ireland.
Partnering with a local service station – convenient dining on the road

The famous US fast food chain is set to open ten restaurants in Ireland following a collaboration with Corrib Oil, one of Ireland’s leading service station and energy distribution providers.
Corrib Oil has agreed to become Wendy’s official franchise partner in Ireland. Together, they plan to open ten fast food outlets across the island between 2025 and 2027.
The official locations of the first Wendy’s restaurants in Ireland will be announced in the New Year. The initial phase of openings will feature a blend of standalone restaurants and Wendy’s outlets at existing Corrib Oil service stations.
Bringing American dining to Ireland – a favourite for generations

Whether you’ve visited the States or just been a fan of US pop culture, you’re certain to have heard of Wendy’s. The iconic fast food chain has made its mark on the country’s dining scene since first opening in 1969 with its tasty beef burgers and Frosty desserts.
The partnership will open ten locations across Ireland in the initial phase, with plans to expand to 30 over the next decade. A recruitment campaign will launch in early 2025, creating over 300 new jobs.
In a statement announcing the plans to open ten restaurants in Ireland, Wendy’s and Corrib Oil said, “Wendy’s also anticipates sourcing ingredients locally wherever possible as part of its Irish rollout.
“All Wendy’s fresh beef will be 100 percent Irish sourced and certified.”
