Throughout the Music Bus Tour, you will stop at many iconic locations with history relating to Belfast’s music scene.

You’ll stop at the beautifully restored Ulster Hall. This was the site of Led Zeppelin’s world premiere of ‘Stairway to Heaven’ back in 1971.

You’ll also visit the site of the Maritime Hotel, where Van Morrison and Them made their debut in 1964. Plus, the Belfast Waterfront, which hosted the pivotal ‘Yes’ concert in 1998 featuring Ash and U2.

But the tour doesn’t just focus on the city centre; you’ll also be transported through the history of various areas of North, South, East and West Belfast to gain a real insight into the city’s diverse musical history.

One of the highlights outside of the city centre is visiting Cyprus Avenue. This is the street in East Belfast that inspired the lyrics behind the song of the same name by Van Morrison.

When the tour comes to an end, you’ll head back to Oh Yeah Centre. Here, you’ll enjoy a complimentary beverage of your choice and free access to the NI Music Exhibition.

At the exhibition, you’ll discover items like Gary Lightbody’s guitar used to write ‘Chasing Cars’ and Gary Moore’s iconic barbed wire-patterned suit from an Amnesty International show.
