Belfast Christmas Market made its return for the first time since 2019 last year. The dates for the Belfast Christmas Market 2022 have now been confirmed.
Despite Christmas being over three months away, summer is behind us, and the buzz for the festive season is slowly gaining traction.
Market Place Europe, the operators of the Christmas Market in Belfast, have confirmed that it will run from 20 November to 22 December this year.
Dates confirmed for Belfast Christmas Market 2022 – the festive season is fast approaching
As per usual, before Halloween has even begun, people are already talking about Christmas. However, since the Christmas Market was shut down in 2020 because of COVID, we can’t blame everyone for getting excited about the festive season.
The operators of the Belfast Christmas Market that runs at City Hall have confirmed that it will run between 20 November and 22 December this year.
Even though it’s still a few months away, it’s nice to know in advance and to get excited about Christmas.
Market Place Europe – specialist market operators
Market Place Europe is one of the UK’s biggest specialist market operators. They aren’t a Christmas-exclusive company as they operate markets all over the UK throughout the year.
In doing so, they provide professional and high-quality markets and events of all sizes and durations.
The Christmas Market in Belfast first came to town in 2004 as part of a pilot scheme. Ever since then, it has been one of the highlights of Belfast in the festive season and is highly anticipated each year.
Last year, the Christmas Market returned to Belfast after being cancelled in 2020. This was the first time the market didn’t run outside the City Hall for the first time in 15 years.
With well over one million people visiting the market in 2019 and an overall gross economic impact of £75.7 (€87.3) million, the huge benefit of the market speaks for itself.
Back in 2022 – the coming festive season
With numerous festive shows and concerts planned for December and with the dates confirmed for the Belfast Christmas Market 2022, everyone can look forward to a little bit of joy this coming festive season.
Managing Director of Market Place, Allan Hartwell, said; “We’re delighted that once again the sights and sounds of the Belfast Christmas Market will form a focal point for the city centre during the festive season.
“Given our focus on the safety of visitors, we would encourage people to visit during the week to avoid busy times.”
