As the popular Cork restaurant receives its first Michelin Guide mention, the guide highlights the “rustic-chic dining room and open kitchen”, which offers “a personal touch with chefs delivering dishes to the table”.

Operated by Executive Head Chef Meeran Manzoo, the restaurant takes inspiration from the flavours of South India, and specifically the region of Tamil Nadu.

You can expect a menu filled with bold ingredients, such as chilli, coconut, tamarind, and date, paired with the very finest and freshest locally-sourced produce from across County Cork.

Rare isn’t the only Irish spot to be added to the Michelin Guide this year. Landline Restaurant in Kerry and the Matsukawa Restaurant in Dublin also received recognition.
