Bushmills offering free Irish whiskey for every American in 2021

Can you think of a better way to start the new year than with an Irish whiskey? We sure can’t.

In order to spread a little bit of Irish cheer in 2021, Bushmills Distillery has launched the “First Whiskey of 2021” initiative, which offers a free Irish whiskey to all U.S. residents over the age of 21.

Whether you order in person, by takeaway, or by delivery, all you all to do is order a glass of Bushmills from your local pub, and the Irish distillery will cover the cost.

All you need to do to claim your free Irish whiskey, providing you’re over 21, is purchase a Bushmills Irish Whiskey, pour or cocktail, from your local bar or restaurant, take a picture of the itemised receipt showing the purchase of Bushmills, and upload it here.

Valid receipts will be reimbursed up to $6.00 (paid via Venmo, Paypal, or Amazon) on purchases from 1 January to 18 March 2021, in participating U.S. states.

You can view the full terms and conditions of the offer here.

The “First Whiskey of 2021” initiative comes at a time when bars and restaurants across the U.S. and globally need the support of their patrons more than ever.

Bushmills, who have over 400 years of Irish whiskey heritage, stands in solidarity with bar and restaurant owners across the United States who have struggled to keep their businesses afloat throughout 2020.

They hope the initiative to make your first whiskey of 2021 a Bushmills will help support local bar and restaurant owners as they try to regain some of the losses they have incurred over the past year.

As well as this initiative, Bushmills also donated $200,000 earlier this year to the USBG Foundation’s Bartender Emergency Assistance Program, which seeks to provide immediate financial assistance for those in the hospitality industry who encounter temporary, emergent, financial hardship due to unforeseen or catastrophic life events.

The Irish whiskey brand plans to continue to support organisations that help provide relief to those struggling during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

So, hopefully, once you can attend your favourite local bar or restaurant once again, you can raise a free glass of Bushmills Irish Whiskey as life goes back to normal.

The initiative is not available in all U.S. states, and the covered cost does not include tax or tips. For more information, visit the Bushmills website.
