Today there is great news for Irish tourism as it will now be possible to travel from Derry to Dublin in about half an hour! The City of Derry Airport says its application has been successful for a double daily service to Dublin. The route is due to operate from April 2016 onwards.
“CoDA views this scheme as a significant opportunity to secure new airline capacity on a strategically important route from our airport. We are delighted that our application has been successful for a double daily service to Dublin. The benefits of this new Dublin service, through enhanced inter-regional and international connectivity, to the local economy and travelling public are significant.”
“The aircraft will be served by a CoDA based aircraft that will also offer a twice weekly service to the Isle of Man. The new, service is expected to commence in April 2016”
