A popular Belfast burger place has been ranked among the best in the U.K., according to a new list compiled by travel and events company StagWeb.
Tribal Burger originally started as a food truck and now has two restaurants in the city. The spot is popular among locals looking for their burger fix in Belfast.
The popular Belfast restaurant has now received the recognition it deserves as one of the best burger places in the U.K.
The best burgers in Belfast – with something for everyone
Since operating from a 1964 Airstream truck in 2010, Tribal Burger has steadily grown in popularity. Now, it is the most popular spot for delicious burgers and tasty fries in the city and has risen to the top of the ranks in the UK.
Travel and events website StagWeb, which helps men plan stag dos throughout the U.K., released their annual list of the best burger restaurants in the U.K.
This year, Tribal Burger was named among their top 30 as the only Northern Irish restaurant on the list.
An incredible success story – serving top quality food
The Belfast burger place, is owned by Donegal-born chef Paul Catterson and his wife, Elaine.
Paul developed a passion for cooking at a young age. He moved to London to further his career as a chef, where he spent nine years working at some of the city’s top restaurants. Then, he moved to Dublin, where he continued working as a head chef.
Later, he moved to Belfast and worked in the popular restaurant Shu. However, it wasn’t until he took a trip to Chile that he was inspired to further his journey with food.
Inspired by South American cuisine – the beginning of something new
Paul’s trip to Chile inspired him to start what would later be one of Northern Ireland‘s best burger places.
He said, “The people of Chile were not afraid to add stunning flavours to great cuts of beef and throw them all in an open fire pit. That freedom of eating great food outdoors appealed to me as something I wanted to explore further.”

Today, Tribal Burger is known for its vast array of burger options catering for everyone from meat-lovers to vegans.
