Guinness fans rejoiced as all Bittles Bar in Belfast City Centre was serving yesterday was pints of the world-famous black stuff.
Guinness is one of the things Ireland is famous for. Punters were left wondering if it was Arthur’s Day as one Belfast bar served pints of Guinness exclusively yesterday.
Following the success of their ‘Guinness Day’ last September, with over 600 pints of the black stuff sold, they decided to give it another go.
Fans of Guinness welcome – if you’re not, stay away
The bar warned on its Facebook page, “If you don’t drink Guinness, then stay away from Bittles Bar this Sunday, because the only beverage we’re selling is freshly squeezed pints of Guinness.”
Yesterday, pints of Guinness were being poured at an alarming rate. Some punters who didn’t know about the Guinness madness didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when told by the bar staff that they’d be serving pints of Guinness exclusively.
For Guinness fans, it was heaven on earth. However, as the bar warned, if you aren’t a fan, you should stay away.
The best Guinness in town – the Guinness Guru says so
It’s no surprise really that Bittles Bar decided to host another ‘Guinness Day’ since the Guinness Guru dubbed theirs the best pint of the black stuff in Belfast, with a score of 8.5 out of ten.
Known for his honest reviews of Guinness from all over the island of Ireland and further afield, the Guinness Guru has become the unofficial expert of the famous stout.
After receiving many recommendations on Instagram, he visited seven pubs in Belfast to put their Guinness to the test.
In the end, Bittles Bar emerged victoriously. Following the Guinness Guru’s rave review, the bar received record sales.
