Éimear Smith

Éimear Smith is an Irish writer, musician and illustrator with a strong background in arts, features and creative storytelling. Her first experience in magazine development came through UCD’s *New Word Order* while studying English with Creative Writing. She later completed an MSc in Emerging Media at DCU and worked as a journalist with Iconic Media Group, where she sourced full-page interviews, wrote arts features and helped relaunch *Longford New Writing*. A Grade 8 violinist, Éimear performed in Dublin’s National Concert Hall in 2026 and was one of four participants representing Ireland at European Youth Music Week. She has also written for arts publication *WASTER Magazine* and shares her local and international travels, hobbies and optimistic reflections through her Substack blog, *The Éim-Dash*.
