Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy is a retired primary school teacher from Carrigaline. Since retiring, he has turned his focus into being a local historian and somewhat of a cultural guide to the town of Carrigaline, a town in County Cork just outside of Cork City, where he has proudly lived his entire life. Brian’s pastimes include reading (he enjoys Edna O'Brien) and spending time at the coast with his dog Tillie (including his favourite spot of Fountainstown Beach). Brian is dedicated to writing more about his beloved Carrigaline, explaining why the town is a brilliant visit for people when exploring Ireland, including the town’s history, local heritage sites, and renowned friendly pubs.
