Celebrating one of Ireland’s oldest cities – a one-of-a-kind event

In August 2021, the UK City of Culture accepted Armagh City, Banbridge, and Craigavon’s bid for the coveted 2025 title.
The city is the only one in Northern Ireland to compete for the title this year. It was confirmed in October 2021 as one of the eight longlisted applications.
As part of the city’s bid for the title and acting as a celebration of its rich heritage, history, and culture, Armagh will host a three-weekend mega-festival in 2022.
The festival will take place over two weekends. From 24 March to 3 April 2022, this festival will mark a new, unique, and exciting event highlight for the region.
Various exciting events, including performances from big-name acts such as Ryan McMullan and Beoga, are planned. Cabaret-style circus performances and powerful artistic light installations will also take place throughout the festival.
Armagh to host two-weekend mega-festival – an increasingly popular destination

As the ‘oldest city on the island of Ireland’, Armagh boasts over 7,500 years of history for visitors to discover.
Armagh Fusion Festival will join the city’s long list of exciting heritage events showcasing the best of the city.
Award-winning events, such as the Armagh Food and Cider Festival are a must-visit. Meanwhile, the Home of St Patrick and Georgian festivals have cemented the city as a tourism hotspot in recent years.
The Georgian city is also famed for its fantastic historical sites, such as St Patrick’s Cathedral and the Navan Centre and Fort.
