With Hollywood icons setting foot on Irish soil to film upcoming movies, the island is becoming a popular destination among the rich and famous.

Yesterday, an American mega-yacht was spotted off the County Antrim coast in Northern Ireland.

Sailing up to Ramore Head in the popular seaside town of Portrush, the superyacht dwarfed the boats normally harboured in the area.

The triple decked ship, known as ‘Liquid Rehab’, dropped anchor close to Skerries which is one of the best Dublin commuter towns. , just north of the popular seaside resort.

With a top speed of 28 knots, this impressive craft sleeps ten guests with a crew of seven.

As the American mega-yacht docks off County Antrim coast, you may be wondering just who could be on board.

‘Liquid Rehab’ is the property of U.S. pharmaceutical millionaire Kevin Martin. Martin is the chairman of Genoa Healthcare, an on-site pharmacies operator for mental health communities within the United States.

The ship is captained by Jameson Cooper from North Palm Beach in Florida.

After stopping off at Belfast Lough beside the SSE Arena, the hub of Belfast’s maritime history, the yacht docked at Bangor Marina.

While in Bangor, the guests, captain, and crew enjoyed lunch with the Royal Ulster Yacht Club members in the clubhouse.

Now, the American mega-yacht has docked off County Antrim coast, and we’re sure those onboard be checking out some of the Causeway Coast’s top attractions.
