Ireland is home to some of the most beautiful universities – which is your favourite?
Ireland is a small country in Europe, with the British Isles to its East, and American and Canada across the Atlantic Ocean, to the West.
The Emerald Isle (aka Ireland) is fondly considered as a land of ancient relics and tall tales, of folklore and tradition. Another aspect of its culture, which is often acknowledged is its literary greats and scholarly folk.
Some beautiful education facilities exist in Ireland, and with such direct impact from colonisation, grand, classical designs exist in abundance – particularly when it comes to our universities and colleges.
Here are the five most beautiful universities in Ireland.
5. Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
Located on Stephen’s Green in Dublin city, this private institution is one of the most prestigious in all of the country.
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) is the educational institute responsible for all training of surgeons across the island of Ireland.
The building, which was established in 1784, is shrouded in grandeur and offers prestige in its presence. In fact, this beautiful university in Ireland can even be rented out for private or corporate events.
With grand Georgian fireplaces and decorative ceilings with ornate touches, this is undoubtedly one of the most stunning institutions in all of Dublin city.

4. University College Cork
Located in County Cork, in the Southwest of the country, this university is another one of the most beautiful in all of Ireland.
Founded in 1845, University College Cork (UCC) offers postgraduate and undergraduate courses and is considered a leading university in the country.
The UCC was one of the three Queen’s colleges – the others are in Galway (see #3) and in Belfast (see #1) – and offers a similarly stately finesse.
A hoard of respected and notable alumni have walked the halls and sat courses in UCC and with its regale campus which offers a Gothic façade and manicured green lawns, we have no doubt it will continue to mesmerise future students and visitors alike.

This learning institute in Galway is considered one of the leading in the country, not to mention it is also one of the most beautiful universities in Ireland.

On top of that, this university is so highly regarded that it has, according to the QS World University Rankings, 2018, been listed in the top one per cent of universities across the globe.
And the icing on the cake is how damn beautiful it is! The building is magnificent and scholarly with old-world charm.
Built in Tudor Gothic style, aged-ivy creeps the buildings façade, and a dramatic courtyard is hidden from first-view. Overall, this University is something out of a storybook, and it’s a great day-trip regardless of whether you are a prospective student or not.
