10. Broken Social Scene 

This Canadian indie rock band have been slaying charts and smashing out hits since their inception in 1999 and there is clearly no stopping them.

9. Little Miss Sunshine 

This indie-alternative film received critical acclaim for its raw depiction of the modern, dysfunctional family back in 2006. 

Now, the Oscar-winning title has been repurposed to become a musical drama. Straight from the West End, this is sure to be one of the top events in Ireland this August.

8. The Big Grill 

For all you food enthusiasts, this is the event in Ireland for you this August. This is, in fact, Europe’s largest BBQ and craft beer festival and its set to take place in Herbert Park.  

Expect live music, testers and tastings, demonstrations and performances!

7. Bombay Bicycle Club

5. Madness 

World-class English ska band Madness is set to take to the stage in Belfast this August in Ireland and we’re sure this will be one of the hottest gigs of the Summer.

4. The Wine & Cheese Festival  

This upmarket affair is perfect for those with a penchant for a wine and cheese combo. The mini-festival will take place in Dublin over a weekend in August and we just love the idea of daytime drinks in stunning surroundings of the Iveagh Gardens.

2. Beatyard  

This small-scale independent music festival will take place in Dublin’s seaside suburb of Dun Laoghaire this August 2019.

This indie music festival burst onto the scene with a bang and has gone on to become the leading alternative Summer event in Ireland. This year top acts like The National and Patti Smith will headline and tickets are already sold out.
