As the capital of Ireland, Dublin is the heart and soul of the Emerald Isle. It is a melting pot of poetry and pop culture, with musical talent, sports, arts and trends sweeping across the city, offering its inhabitants a fantastic array of things to do on a nightly basis.

As Halloween passes and it is time to welcome November with winter on our doorstep, there are so many events it is hard to keep track.

Check out now our top 10 picks of events to attend this month in Dublin!

10. Republic of Ireland VS Northern Ireland Football Match

Join the boys in green this month as they take on Northern Ireland in a friendly game during the November international break.

This will be the last time both teams play before the EURO 2020 draw which takes place in Dublin next month so it will be a great indicator of where each team stands currently.

This match takes place on 15 November; kick off is at 7.45pm.

Location: Aviva Stadium, Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, Ireland.

9. Kurt Vile and the Violators

14 November welcomes one of music’s most mesmerising musicians take the stage at Vicar Street in Dublin.

Kurt Vile will perform with the Violators (Rob Laakso, Kyle Spence, and Jesse Trbovich) and offer – we can safely say – nothing short of a completely captivating performance.

The rock legend has released a wealth of material, all critically acclaimed, and we are pretty certain this will be one of the best gigs of the month.

Location: Vicar Street, 58-59 Thomas St, The Liberties, Dublin 8, Ireland.

8. Dublin Games Festival

Gamers rejoice! November brings Dublin Games Festival – Ireland’s newest, biggest and most dynamic gaming convention.

Taking place in the RDS on 24 November, this mind-blowing experience is one not to be missed. Expect state of the art games and interactive experiences, demos never before seen and a tonne of things to keep you keen all day.

Our top must-play game is the 20 foot, two-floor Mario Kart racecourse!

7. MoRun 2018

Slap on a fake moustache or (ideally) grow your own if you can this November for the 2018 MoRun in Phoenix Park.

The day in question – 24 November – holds both a 5k and 10k run opportunity, depending on your personal preference. Note: the route can also be walked or jogged.

This event encourages fancy dress and silliness all-round, making it a perfect family day outing!

MoRunning proudly supports the Movember Foundation, which prioritises men’s health.

Location: Phoenix Park, Dublin 8, Ireland.

6. Boy George & Culture Club

Sunday 24 November welcomes Boy George & Culture Club to the 3 Arena for a show-stopping night of dancing, music and revelry.

5. Dublin Beatles Festival

For all you Beatles fans out there, this November event is not one to miss.

The one-day celebration will take place in The Workmans Club in Dublin city and celebrate all things related to the “Fab Four”.

4. Leon Bridges

Lose yourself in the melodies of Leon Bridges this month at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
