Anyone who has been travelling for long periods of time knows that a Backpack is probably the best luggage you can have. For your travels around Ireland, we recommend the critically acclaimed and best-selling adventure travel pack, the Osprey Farpoint 55 Backpack. This bag can be packed like a suitcase but carried like a rucksack.
7. Plug Adaptor
This is certainly one of the most common mistakes that anyone travelling to Ireland makes – not carrying a plug adaptor! If you are coming from the UK, then you are okay. Outside the UK, you will probably need one of these.
8. Travel Towel
Travel Towels are lifesavers. These things are truly versatile, great for travelling, camping and trekking or even to use at home! Designed for high demand users who want quick-drying convenience and comfort while on the move. We recommend the Large Microfibre Towel by The Little Bodhi.
9. Currency Card
Depending on what country you are travelling from and what bank account you have, you will probably be paying additional charges for using a different currency in Ireland. To save as much money as you can, we recommend getting a top-up currency card such as Revolut. These cards are magic, simply set up the app on your phone and top-up the card with as much as you’d like. Then, you can go and use it anywhere in Ireland and get great exchange rates with no extra charges. You can save up to 6% by sending money abroad with Revolut. It allows transfer of 23 currencies to any bank, business or friend with the real exchange rate. When using the RevolutCard, you will get the real exchange rate and spending is always free.
10. Good Company
Good company is essential to any Road Trip. Your company can make or break your trip, so it is important to choose wisely. If you bring your best mate, a spouse or family member who you love with you, then you are guaranteed a great time. Remember, Ireland is a beautiful country with so much to do, see and experience, so it will be difficult to have a bad time! Good luck!
